The AIM program is open to all ECE alumni.

  1. Registration is always open. Click the “Sign Up” button on the top, right corner of the page.

  2. Choose to join the program as an Alumnus/Mentor and then complete the brief registration form.

  3. Once the mentoring program administrator approves your registration, you will be notified by email. At this time, you will be directed to complete your profile page and program orientation.

  4. When you have completed your profile, mentees will then be able to have you appear in their search for mentors. This can be done through a recommended match by the software, based on profile similarities, or through keyword searches from the students.

  5. You will be sent an email notification when a student requests you as a mentor. You can decide whether to approve or deny the request. Once you approve a request, the student is encouraged to send an introductory message.

  6. Alumni can also choose to connect with other alumni in the program. If you click the “Suggested” tab on your profile page, you will be shown options of alumni who are suggested based on profile/interest similarities. You can also choose to click the “Search” tab, which will allow you to search for alumni based on your desired parameters.

  7. Once connections are made, the relationship begins. Feel free to send a message, introduce yourself, and give any additional background you would like to share.

  8. You can end a relationship at any time. Please notify the individual if this is done earlier than previously discussed.
